“It begins and ends with nature, stay close to it.”
I am both grateful and proud to play a continued role in my parents’ work in conservation and tourism in Malawi, which began in 1987. Mvuu Camp and Lodge, located in Liwonde National Park has been an invaluable source of insight, training and passion throughout my life and I continue to acquire and practice my creative skills here.
Growing up in one of Malawi’s biodiversity hotspots has taught me about both the fragility and resilience of our earth and, crucially, the ways in which Africa’s remaining protected areas are realising hope not just for endangered species, but also for local livelihoods amongst communities living side-by-side wildlife populations.
